Step 1 - Create your landlord account and select your management tier

At Go4Rent, we provide you with the tools to help you better manage your rental homes. We realize one size does not fit all so we developed management tiers to fit the needs of most landlords.

Step 2 - List your home

If you’re working with a Texas Realtor, that’s great. For each home your Realtor lists, you are granted access to view the applications and order the instant background checks. You no longer have to wait for your Realtor to send the file to you. Everything is in your dashboard for you to review and process.

Step 3 - View and process the online lease application

With Go4Rent, you can view the application and supporting documents prior to charging the application fee. If the applicant meets your minimum requirements, click the Screen Now button for access to the instant credit, criminal, and eviction report. At that point, we will start verifying the applicant’s current employment and up to two years of rental history.

Step 4 - Approve or Deny the applicant

If all goes well and you approve the applicant, you can write the lease within Go4Rent. You can also send the lease agreement to the applicant for e-signature. Once signed by, everyone automatically receives a fully executed copy.

Step 5 - Collect Rent

Collecting rent on is FREE for landlords. Adding your bank account will allow you to collect the security deposit and monthly rent without sharing your bank account information with anyone, including Go4Rent. We use a bank level security system that allows you to add your bank account to your Go4Rent account. Tenants are NOT able to pay their rent on Go4Rent unless you add your bank account. Tenants pay a small processing fee of $1.95 when making a payment. Payments are deposited into your bank account within 2-3 business days.

Criminal Background Checks

Checks the database of state and federal jurisdictions throughout the U.S. for both minor and major offenses. This search will also check your applicant’s name in the national sex offender database. If you only want to check the criminal history of an applicant, this report is for you.

Credit Checks

Credit checks with the FICO score and all the trade lines associated with the applicant’s credit history. The credit report may also reveal any judgements filed by a landlord or apartment community for non-payment of rent. These reports are accessed thru TransUnion.

Eviction Checks

Go4Rent conducts a nationwide check for prior evictions filed against the applicant. The report will list the name of plaintiff/landlord, date the eviction was filed, and the judgement amount.


Go4Rent verifies the applicant’s current employment and rental payment history. These verifications may take 2-3 business days to complete as we must contact the employer and landlord to obtain the requested information. We will make every effort to have the verifications completed within the time allotted and keep you and the landlord updated throughout the process. Once the verifications are complete, we will upload the forms into your dashboard and both will receive a notification.

Rental History

Go4Rent provides you with up to two years of rental history. If the applicants have resided at their current address for less than two years, Go4Rent will contact the previous landlord.


If the applicant’s employer uses a 3rd party service for employment verifications, Go4Rent will use an alternative method to verify the employment and income.
